Manchester City will find it harder to win the Club World Cup after their draw with Crystal Palace, Pep Guardiola admits. City were two goals up and in control against Palace, but two late goals saw the visitors leave with a point thanks to Michael Olise's 94th-minute penalty.
That gave Liverpool, Arsenal and Aston Villa two chances to extend their leads over City given they all played on Sunday and will also compete when City are in Saudi Arabia this week.
With the way the fixtures fall over the festive period, the worst-case scenario is that City could be 12 points adrift of the leaders by the next time they play - although Liverpool and Arsenal face each other this week which could help the Blues.
Guardiola was not thinking about the title race after the Palace draw, however, and was more concerned with how the late blow would affect their Club World Cup chances.
