Manchester City have spent the day refocusing after suffering their first defeat since the Community Shield at the beginning of August, on Wednesday night.
Pep Guardiola's men were knocked out of the Carabao Cup in midweek after a 1-0 loss to Newcastle United at St James' Park. After controlling much of the first half, City were caught cold at the beginning of the second 45 and were punished by Alexander Isak who smashed the ball home from close range less than ten minutes after the restart.
The defeat sees City exit the competition at their first hurdle but have an immediate opportunity put the result right on Saturday when they travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.
