Pep Guardiola is adamant Manchester City will not stumble if he follows Txiki Begiristain out of the exit door at the end of the season.
Begiristain has announced that he will leave his post as sporting director in summer after 13 years at the Etihad. Hugo Viana has been announced as his successor and will start some duties in February before taking over permanently after he has finished his season with Sporting in the Portuguese league.
It will be a hard act to follow Begiristain, one of the most important people in City's success over the last 15 years, and the Blues are still waiting to hear if Guardiola will leave.
The manager is out of contract at the end of the season and has not yet decided whether he will commit to another deal.
