Pep Guardiola said Manchester City have to try and hurt Real Madrid at the Bernabeu if they are to beat them again in the Champions League.
The Blues rode their luck here last year with a determined performance that saw the scores level at the halfway point, before City blew them away at the Etihad in the second leg to progress to the final and win the competition for the first time in the club's history.
Having the decisive leg in Manchester is seen as an advantage for City, although Guardiola knows only too well that it will count for nothing if they do not play well enough in Madrid.
With a number of injuries and both teams set up slightly differently to last season, City's coach expects a more even contest across two legs than they managed to achieve last year.
