Pep Guardiola may have spent most of Sunday wearing black but as he ends his sixth season in charge at the Etihad the Manchester City manager has never been more of a Blue.
The tale of a fourth league title in five years lacked the drama of previous successes under the manager: there was no 100 points, no domestic clean sweep, and no emergency meeting to rip up half a season of work.
At its basest form, the hard work of other teams in the Premier League fell short because the talent of City worked hard. Of course, there were comeback stories from players including Bernardo Silva, Aymeric Laporte and Kevin De Bruyne, and improvements from Rodri and (at least as far as goals are concerned) Riyad Mahrez.
