Viewers of ITV's Des have been left 'scared to sleep' over its spine-chilling scenes. The true-crime three-part drama follows the arrest and trial of Dennis 'Des' Nilsen, played by David Tennant, who confessed to killing up to 16 men in his London home between 1978 and 1983.
Line of Duty actors Daniel Mays and Jason Watkins, and Ben Bailey Smith also star in the series. The resemblance between David and the serial killer is uncanny anyway, but when paired with acting which viewers said should " win all the awards ", it's clear to see why the 5.4 million people who tuned in were left "scared to go to sleep".
