Calls for Love Island to be cancelled are mounting as the show's viewer ratings reportedly saw a 'new low'.The social media page Super TV, known for dishing out "latest TV news, iconic pop culture highlights and opinions", shared a post on Monday, January 20, spilling the tea on Love Island: All Star’s ratings.
It turns out that Sunday’s episode was, so far, the least watched since the very first series. Super TV's post caption read: "RATINGS! #LoveIsland has already fallen to new lows with last night being the least watched episode of the show since series 1, with just 640k viewers and that’s without competition from The Traitors #LoveIslandAllStars." The post has racked up 510,000 views, 3,800 likes and 285 retweets.
One user didn't hold back about the ITV2 show, commenting: "They need to bin this, that’s lower than a YouTube video." Another chimed in with a blunt assessment, writing: "Let’s be honest it needs (to be) axed at this point." A third expressed their disinterest, saying: "I stopped watching after Ekin Su’s season" prompting someone to reply: "Millions did!
That was the last time it had any substantial viewership." One viewer has questioned the decision to air Love Island All Stars in January, saying: "People are focused on starting the new year and often feel the January blues.
