People fleeing from areas in Tier 4 risk being caught and hit in the pocket by ' Big Brother ' spy cameras. Automatic Number Plate Recognition can spot them speeding down motorways and 'A' roads and entering lower tiers in defiance of the new rules brought in at the weekend.
In other tiers where non-essential travel is advised against, one woman got a £130 fine after her car was spotted on camera at Cheshire Oaks, a shopping centre in Ellesmere Port, near Liverpool.
