A pensioner has tragically died following an incident on a busy road in Edinburgh. Emergency services raced to Pennywell Road in the city on Thursday morning, October 24, at around 11:20am following a report of a concern for a person, reports Edinburgh Live.
Cops confirmed that an 80-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course. Bystanders explained how the road was blocked off as a huge police presence was at the scene.
