A 79-year-old man caught in an indecent act with a homeless woman has pleaded guilty to charges. Brendan McPhillips pleaded guilty to a charge of 'outraging public decency' after police encountered him receiving oral sex from the woman in the car park.

McPhillips was arrested at the car park in Lower Union Lane in Torquay. He appeared at Newton Abbott Magistrate's Court on January 22 2025 where he entered a guilty plea.

During the hearing the court heard that the incident happened on May 29 2024 in the afternoon. At the time of the incident it was also half time and the car park was open to members of the public including children, which was an aggravating factor, DevonLive reports.

McPhillips, of Princes Road West, told police that he was drunk at the time of the incident. CCTV footage showed the defendant urinating before he received oral sex from a homeless woman.
