A pedestrian was rushed to hospital after being struck by a car in a hit-and-run on a Scots road. The 42-year-old was hit while walking in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The incident took place in the Carnbroe area of Coatbridge at around 12.25am. Officers are now appealing for information over the Lanarkshire town crash.
The driver of the white Kia Ceed vehicle involved, which has a black roof, made off after the collision and officers are now trying to track them down.
A post on the Police Scotland Lanarkshire Facebook page read: "We are appealing for information following a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Carnbroe."Emergency services were called to Carnbroe Road around 12.25am on Monday, 5 August, 2024.
