A man has tragically died after being struck by a car on a busy Aberdeen road today.The 36-year-old pedestrian was hit on the A956 Cleanhill at around 1am.The busy road was closed for around 10 hours following the collision, reports Aberdeen Live.
Police have now confirmed that the man has died. Officers were called out to attend the scene, which forms part of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route (AWPR).The incident occurred between the Cleanhill roundabout heading eastbound and the Charleston flyover.A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 1.20am on Thursday, March 30, officers were called to a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on the A956 Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route between the Charleston and Cleanhill junctions.“The male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed for around 10 hours to allow investigations to be carried out.
