The death of an elderly woman in a Scots village has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.A murder investigation was launched after the body of a 74-year-old woman was found at a property on The Engine Green in Fishcross, Clackmannanshire, at the weekend.
She was later named by police as Catherine Pryde.A post-mortem examination was carried out by officers, who confirmed they were treating the incident as murder.
Following inquiries, detectives have since sent a report on the circumstances surrounding her death to the Procurator Fiscal.Catherine's family have continued to ask for their privacy to be respected.
A Police Scotland statement reads: "Following on from our release relating to the death of a 74-year-old woman in Fishcross on Sunday, March 19, we can confirm that a report on the circumstances has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
