‘Peacemaker’ Season 2 Starts Filming & James Gunn Shares Photo From The Set
deadline.comJames Gunn is teasing DC fans that Peacemaker Season 2 is officially filming and shared a photo from the set. The DC Studios co-head snapped a picture as production for the John Cena-starring series commenced. “Day 1 S2,” Gunn posted on Threads along with a photo of Peacemaker’s helmet.
A fan asked how he could film Peacemaker if Superman was also filming at the same time. “It’s a Saturday. Pre-shoot,” Gunn replied.
Gunn also clarified that for Peacemaker Season 2, he would “be directing some of the episodes” like in Saturday’s shoot, “But there are three other great directors joining me for the season.” Max ordered a second season of Peacemaker ahead of its first season finale following a strong debut on the streaming platform.
The series follows the escapades of Peacemaker, a role that Cena originated on Gunn’s 2021 film The Suicide Squad. Peacemaker is a vainglorious man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it.
