Paul Scholes has made a funny joke about Robbie Savage after son Charlie put in a fantastic performance for Manchester United against Melbourne Victory on Friday.
The 19-year-old played the whole of the second half as the tourists ran out 4-1 winners over their hosts, the youngster spraying some pinpoint passes during his outing.
Savage made his senior debut under Ralf Rangnick last season. He came on as a substitute in United ’s Champions League group stage encounter with Young Boys alongside academy colleague Zidane Iqbal.
The pair have been included in Erik ten Hag’s pre-season squad as they try to convince their new boss to include them in his plans.
