Paul Scholes believes Lisandro Martinez will be a 'huge miss' after the Manchester United defender was carried off the pitch in a concerning moment against Sevilla.

Martinez went down under no pressure in the 86th minute of United's 2-2 draw with Sevilla after turning on the ball, holding the back of his ankle and in obvious pain.

The Reds defender was carried off the pitch by Marcos Acuna and Gonzalo Montiel, his two Argentinian compatriots from the visiting side, before being taken down the tunnel on a stretcher.

The concern of his injury was compounded in a chaotic eight-minute spell for United, who blew a two-goal lead and what looked to be certain victory due to two own-goals from Tyrell Malacia and Harry Maguire, meaning United now go into the second leg level despite dominating.
