Paul Mescal makes music debut with original song Slip Away from new film Carmen

In the musical drama - directed by choreographer Benjamin Millepeid, best known for his work on Black Swan - is a modern day re-telling of the classic opera of the same name by George Bizet also starring Scream 6 final girl Melissa Barrera.
While the original Carmen's plot follows a naive solider who falls in love with the titular character, with their love affair ending in tragedy.
The new film reshapes the narrative slightly, with Carmen (Barrera) recast as a woman seeking to escape her homeland of Mexico to cross into the US, when she runs into a bloodthirsty volunteer border guard.
She escapes with a former Marine suffering from PTSD (Mescal) and they are forced on the run from the authorities. Listen to Paul Mescal's original song, Slip Away, below.
