Angelique Jackson Vertical Entertainment has acquired North American rights to distribute “The Walk,” which tells the story of the court-ordered forced integration of the Boston School System in the 1970s.The film, starring Justin Chatwin and Terrence Howard, will be released in theaters and digitally on June 10.“The Walk” follows Bill Coughlin (Chatwin, pictured above), a Boston Irish cop, who must contend with social pressure and bigotry in his neighborhood and within the police force after being assigned to protect Black students bused into the all-white South Boston High. Paul Feig has lined up his next feature film, and it appears the comedy director is venturing into the world of YA fantasy in the new film, “The School of Good and Evil.” According to THR, Feig will direct the feature, based on the novel “The School of Good and Evil” written by Soman Chainani. The story follows two young girls, Sophie and Agatha, who are about to enter the titular schools, where they will be chosen to attend either one of the fairy tale training academies, the School for Good (which include alums such as Snow White and Cinderella) or the School for Evil.
