Passport row mum says son ‘sobbing and screaming’ after missing skiing trip

A 10-year-old schoolboy was left “screaming and sobbing” because he couldn’t go on a skiing trip with his due to passport delays.

Reuben Murphy's child passport was renewed one full month before he was due to head off on an skiing holiday to Italy, according to his mum Kirsty Morgan.

However, after what she claims were several delays with the passport office, Kirsty had to tell Reuben he was unable to join his school friends for the hotly anticipated trip to the ski resort of Bormio.

Reuben's agony was compounded because it will be the last trip before his entire year all move on to secondary school after the summer.
