A 'violent' passenger has been banned from Jet2 for life after allegedly attacking cabin crew on a Glasgow to Tenerife flight.The airline described the incident on Wednesday as 'some of the most appalling behaviour ever seen on one of their flights'.
The Glasgow flight was diverted to Shannon Airport in Co Clare, Ireland, after the 20-year-old acted in an "appalling and deplorable" fashion.
The man, from Motherwell, became "disruptive" as soon as the flight took off from Glasgow, they said, with his behaviour escalating to the point of "fully attacking" cabin crew and other terrified passengers, reports the Mirror.Video captured Garda officers removing a topless man from a plane in footage later circulated online.
He was reportedly seen screaming as he was handcuffed and hauled off the flight.Jet2 revealed on Thursday it had immediately banned him for life from flying with them, while an investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
