Police have announced more fines for breaches of Covid-19 rules and regulations at the top levels of government. Among those being fined include Boris Johnson and Chancellor Rishi Sunak as well as the Prime Minister's wife, Carrie Johnson.
The Met police announced an additional 30 fines in relation to Operation Hillman on Tuesday morning (April 12). A No 10 spokesperson confirmed later on that both Johnson and Sunak had been notified that police "intend to issue them with fixed penalty notices".
Scotland Yard has made a minimum of 50 referrals for fixed penalty notices - up from 20 at the end of March - to ACRO Criminal Records Office, which is responsible for giving out the fines. Read more: Should Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak resign over Partygate?
It is believed that Mr Johnson is understood to have been present at six of at least 12 events being investigated by police.
