A Scots tenant has been left furious after part of the ceiling fell onto her bed. Letizia Torri was alerted by her flatmate to warn her a section of her bedroom ceiling had come down while she was out on January 31.The 22-year-old, who pays £800-a-month for her room in the Meadows, Edinburgh, was left stunned when she received the photo showing the lining paper in a heap on her bed.

And over a month later - despite the paper being removed and the ceiling inspected for safety - it has not been repaired. Speaking to Edinburgh Live, the university student said: "It's lucky I wasn't in bed at the time.

It would have fallen on me or I could have been hurt, the sides are quite sharp. "I was out for a walk, and I got a text from my flatmate saying part of the ceiling had fallen down in my room.

She sent me the photo and the lining was on my bed. It was the day just before my birthday too."Letizia arrived home to find two large sheets of lining paper on her bed and the floor, leaving a huge patch of the exposed ceiling.
