A war of words has broken out between a Newmains resident and the council over access to his driveway following the construction of a new £20million school.
Colin Gibson has lived in Park Drive for the past eight years but problems began to arise when work was finished on the new Newmains and St Brigid’s hub.These issues have left Colin unable to park in his own driveway and has now led him to parking in the street, where damage has already been caused to his vehicle.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

In the space of a month since I have been forced to park on the street I have had two damaged wing mirrors, it’s ridiculous.“I spoke to one councillor who told me to seek legal advice.
