Angelique Jackson Ahead of her highly-anticipated visit to “The White Lotus,” Parker Posey has signed on to star in Martin McDonagh‘s next film, “Wild Horse Nine.” Posey joins previously announced star Sam Rockwell, who won the Oscar for best supporting actor for his most recent collaboration with McDonagh, 2017’s “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.” John Malkovich and Mark Ruffalo are also among the cast.
McDonaghi reuniting with Searchlight Pictures, Blueprint Pictures and Film4, following their collaboration on 2022’s “The Banshees of Inisherin.” The dark comedy earned nine Oscar nominations including best picture, as well as directing and screenplay nods for McDonagh.
Graham Broadbent, Pete Czernin and Anita Overland are producing “Wild Horse Nine,” written and directed by McDonagh. The logline for the film is being kept tightly under wraps, with additional casting to be announced.
Production is set to begin next month in Rapa Nui, the indigenous name for Easter Island, a protected Chilean wildlife area known for its unrivaled cultural landscape and for being the most remote inhabited island on Earth.
