Alta Fixsler, two, is currently being cared for by the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. She has brain damage and specialists believe that her life-support treatment should end.
But her family, who are Jewish, 'can't agree to steps being taken that would lead to the death of their daughter'. They want to transfer Alta to a hospital in Jerusalem and are now in a legal battle in the Family Division at a London High Court.
