Naman Ramachandran CJ ENM, the Korean powerhouse behind the Oscar-winning “Parasite,” and Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) are set to premiere their first co-produced unscripted series, “Mugen Loop” (“Infinite Loop”).

CJ ENM is present at the ongoing Hong Kong FilMart. The high-concept game show places six contestants, including Koko from K-pop girl group Izna, in a claustrophobic hexagon-shaped environment with endlessly connected, identical rooms.

Players face increasingly difficult challenges to accumulate unlimited prize money, but failure means elimination through group voting.

The psychological warfare intensifies as contestants battle not just the challenges but each other, with only one ultimate winner claiming the entire cash prize. “As more Korean unscripted shows are well-received globally, it has become crucial to discover distinctive yet comprehensible ideas that foster viewers’ interests,” said Jangho Seo, executive VP of the content business division at CJ ENM. “‘Mugen Loop’ is a big yet clear-cut show that will propose a clear answer to those challenges.” The format emerged from the strategic partnership established between the companies in 2021.
