Paquin Entertainment Hires Chief Operating Officer
deadline.comPaquin Entertainment Group, the producer and talent agency repping the likes of Michael Bublé and Bryan Adams, has hired an ex-Cineflix exec as its first Chief Operating Officer.
Andrew Akman took on the newly-created role last week and will help produce film and TV, exhibitions and large-scale events.
Paquin said it is “currently in development on several talent-driven projects for broadcasters, streaming platforms, and live audiences.” Akman is a vet of the TV space, having held senior roles including COO at Cineflix Media, Shaw Media, Canwest Media and Alliance Atlantis Communications, while he co-founded TV production company Husk Media.
The hire comes with Paquin looking to leverage more of its IP and artists into film, TV and docs. It reps the likes of Michael Bublé, Diana Krall, Nickelback, Sarah McLachlan, Bryan Adams, Serena Ryder, and Christine and the Queens.
