Panto performances are set to get North Lanarkshire locals in Christmas spirit

Oh yes it is – panto time is back in North Lanarkshire as the curtain goes up on this year’s festive performance. Cinderella opened this week at Motherwell theatre and runs until January 2; while neighbouring venues Lanternhouse theatre in Cumbernauld and Sir John Wilson town hall in Airdrie also have special treats in store for Christmas.North Lanarkshire provost Kenneth Duffy joined the panto cast at rehearsals as they prepared for the start of the eight-week run.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Lanternhouse is staging two productions throughout December, with a “Cumbernauld -set telling of Treasure Island” and a “magical festive show” for under-fives entitled Life of the Party.
