Pals of young Scot critically injured in horror crash launch fundraiser for 20-year-old’s mum

A fundraiser has been launched for the family of a young Scot left fighting for his life after a horror two car crash just days after Christmas.

Mason MacKenzie was rushed to hospital in a critical condition on December 27 after his red Seat Ibizia collided with another vehicle on the A7 in the Scottish Borders.

A police investigation into the smash, which took place near Galashiels, remains ongoing while the 20-year-old’s pals have set up a GoFundMe page to help his mum.
