Paisley thug faces "lengthy" jail term following 17-second murder bid

A thug is behind bars after a brutal 17-second murder bid on a man in Paisley.Lewis Wilson, 31, and two accomplices pounced on Robert Meikle shortly after he left a shop in the town’s Ladyburn Street on June 9 last year.Pictures taken by the Paisley Daily Express the morning after show the area sealed off with police working at the scene in a bid to gather evidence.Mr Meikle, 35, was punched before Wilson brandished a blade.
