Francois Abello Camille, 65, could have faced life in prison, chemical castration or death by firing squad had he been found guilty of the alleged crimes against kids as young as 10.
The retiree was with two underage girls in a hotel room in Jakarta when he was arrested in June, said police. He died in a Jakarta police hospital on Sunday night, three days after what police said on Monday was a suicide bid in his jail cell.
