Top Gear star Paddy McGuinness is reportedly not going to this year’s National TV Awards with estranged wife Christine – even though their documentary is up for a gong.
Their BBC show Paddy and Christine: Our Family and Autism, which aired in December last year, has been nominated in the authored documentary category of the NTAs.
But the couple have been living separate lives since announcing their separation in July. A source said Paddy, 48, has decided to keep away from the awards ceremony over fears his attendance could be a distraction from the success of the show.
Paddy and Christine, a 34 year old reality star and model, split earlier this year after 11 years of marriage. At the time, they said their "main focus" was "to continue loving and supporting our children".
