Christine McGuinness ate barely 300 calories a week at the height of her anorexia battle while living and working as a dancer in Paris, France, as a teenager.The 33 year old mum-of-three, who recently shared all about her husband's dramatic hospital dash, has opened up on some of the darker times in her life in her new memoir A Beautiful Nightmare. She detailed how, despite spending an incredible time in the city and getting the opportunity to kickstart her career as a podium dancer, her eating disorder got "out of control".

Christine McGuinness required hospital treatment after a dance routine with her husband, Paddy McGuinness went wrong.The happy couple had been hoping to recreate the iconic lift from the 1987 film, Dirty Dancing during a holiday in Spain.Christine, 33, ended up hitting the bottom of the swimming pool which required a dash to the hospital having sustained injuries to her chin.But her injury saw her lose more than just a day of her luxury break, doctors told her she was unable to swim or sunbathe underneath the glistening Mediterranean sun for the duration of their trip, leaving her frustrated.In an excerpt of her memoir, A Beautiful Nightmare, the Liverpudlian said: "He lifted me up and I sort of went over to go into the water and I cut my chin open at the bottom of the swimming pool."Then I had to go to the hospital and get stitches on the first day."She continued: "After that, I couldn't go into the water or sunbathe!"I just wanted to be in Dirty Dancing and I bloody cut my chin open."The former Real Housewives of Cheshire star later explained that their romantic trip happened before welcoming their three children when Paddy, 48, first started presenting ITV's Take Me Out.She recently opened up on Paddy's health after the Top Gear presenter underwent surgery on his knee after waiting six months for surgery.However, she joked that Paddy was "absolutely" fine and was instead "milking" the attention during his recovery.Speaking to OK! The 48-year-old Top Gear presenter picked up the injury whilst playing in Soccer Aid 2021 in September, alongside stars such as Usain Bolt, Olly Murs, Chunkz and Jamie Redknapp.He was eventually forced to retire from the charity football competition, joking at the time that the knock was “not something that can be sorted with the magic sponge”.Just last week the father-of-three underwent a procedure on the dodgy knee, having waited a whopping six months before the surgery could take place, reports the Express.

QUESTION of Sport viewers have blasted the BBC show as “unwatchable” - with many claiming they “switched off” the programme.
