Elizabeth II (Elizabeth Alexandra Mary; born 21 April 1926) is Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. Elizabeth was born in London, the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York, later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, and she was educated privately at home. Her father ascended the throne on the abdication of his brother King Edward VIII in 1936, from which time she was the heir presumptive. She began to undertake public duties during the Second World War, serving in the Auxiliary Territorial Service. In 1947, she married Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, a former prince of Greece and Denmark, with whom she has four children: Charles, Prince of Wales; Anne, Princess Royal; Prince Andrew, Duke of York; and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.

‘Paddington in Peru’ to Commence Production in July

Naman Ramachandran Studiocanal has confirmed that “Paddington in Peru,” the third instalment of the beloved bear’s adventures, will commence production on July 24.

The film is set to be helmed by Dougal Wilson, making his feature film directorial debut. He has previously made commercials for brands including Apple, Ikea and the BBC as well as U.K.

department store John Lewis’s annual Christmas commercial. Among his many industry awards and honours, Wilson’s film “We’re the Superhumans” for the Channel 4 Paralympics, garnered two Black D&AD Pencils and the Film Grand Prix at Cannes Lions.

He was also nominated by the DGA for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Commercials in 2020.  “As a huge fan of the first two films, I am very excited (if not a little intimidated) to be continuing the story of Paddington.
