The Rutherglen actor has regularly held Scottish Flings for fans of the show, both in Scotland and in North America. He told Lanarkshire Live : "With COVID we had to cancel the usual flings over the past couple of years - they're usually in America and Canada, as well as over here. "We managed to put one on in Scotland with about six weeks notice, which was because the rules and regulations kept varying - we didn't know if we'd be allowed to have it or not."The problem was that we couldn't have any of the visitors we usually have, which makes up a good part of the audience.
