The Droughtlander may be in full swing, but fans of Outlander can look forward to a bit of respite this summer with the arrival of prequel series Outlander: Blood of My Blood.
The new show is set years before the original series and will explore two distinct time periods. The narrative will centre around Jamie Fraser (played by Sam Heughan) mother and father in the early 18th century in the Scottish Highlands, and his wife Claire's (Caitríona Balfe) parents' lives during World War I in London.
Viewers are eager to learn more about the origins of Claire's parents and unravel some of the enigmas surrounding time travel.Throughout Outlander, the rules of time travel and supernatural abilities have been left somewhat vague.
However, one thing has remained consistent: these powers are passed down through generations, suggesting that Claire's parents must have possessed them.Furthermore, it's possible that Claire's guardian Quentin Lambert Beauchamp or 'Uncle Lamb' (Prentis Hancock), also had these time-travelling abilities as he was a Beauchamp.
