Yellowstone creator’s “god complex” is to blame for actor Kevin Costner’s reported exit from the hit Paramount show.According to The Post, the show is reportedly set to end after season five with Costner’s departure, amid claims that tensions exist between the show’s creator Taylor Sheridan and the actor.The ranch family drama, which stars Costner and his adult children, has been a ratings success and earned Costner a Golden Globe for his performance.A source reportedly told the Daily Mail that Sheridan developed a “God complex” on the set of the show with them further claiming that Costner, who is also an executive producer on the show, felt ignored when he raised concerns about the direction that the story was taking.The source reportedly told the outlet that Costner was asked to “stick to acting”.“Kevin will forever be proud of and grateful for ‘Yellowstone’ and the cast is like family to him,” the source is additionally claimed to have told the outlet.“He just felt like ‘Yellowstone’ is headed in a direction that was not in line with their initial vision, and he was met with criticism, including that he should just stick to acting.”NME has reached out to representatives of Costner, Sheridan and Paramount for comment.The first half of the new season has already aired, though its second half is yet to film, and has been marred by rumours that Costner will not return. “It’s the same as with any showrunner and big star — there’s respect, but there’s friction,” a source told The Post.However, the actor’s lawyer, Marty Singer, debunked rumours regarding his client’s attendance on set.

Spielberg edited the guns out for the 20th anniversary release of the film and replaced the firearms with walkie talkies. “That was a mistake,” Spielberg said. “I never should have done that. ‘E.T.’ is a product of its era. No film should be revised based on the lenses we now are, either voluntarily, or being forced to peer through.” “‘E.T.’ was a film that I was sensitive to the fact that the federal agents were approaching kids with firearms exposed and I thought I would change the guns into walkie talkies…Years went by and I changed my own views,” Spielberg continued. “I should have never messed with the archives of my own work and I don’t recommend anyone do that. All our movies are a kind of a signpost of where we were when we made them, what the world was like, and what the world was receiving when we got those stories out there. So I really regret having that out there.”

Elsa Keslassy International Correspondent Catherine Corsini, the French director of “Le Retour,” which was added to the competition lineup for the 76th edition of Cannes on Monday, has addressed the reports in French media of alleged inappropriate incidents during production of the film. Corsini’s competition slot was on hold for nearly 10 days after Cannes’s administration board heard that a scene of a sexual nature involving the 15-year old female protagonist of the film was added to the script and allegedly filmed without the consent of the Commission des Enfants du Spectacle, a government-backed organization. French reports also said Corsini was allegedly being accused of harassment by crew members, while other members of the crew had been allegedly been accused of inappropriate acts against two female actors.

Jem Aswad Senior Music Editor + Reach Music Publishing has acquired both the master and publishing rights of heavy metal legends and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members Judas Priest’s first two albums, “Rocka Rolla” and “Sad Wings of Destiny,” from Gull Entertainments. According to the announcement, Reach will be working in partnership with Judas Priest on these two albums and is planning a variety of projects to be announced later this year, including special releases for the 50th anniversary of “Rocka Rolla” in 2024. The majority of the group’s catalog was initially released on Sony Music’s Columbia or Epic labels but the first two albums, released in 1974 and 1976 respectively, had been owned by Gull for nearly 50 years.

The proximity practically demands comparison, and it’s tempting to draw up a laundry list of differences and call it a review. “Love & Death” casts Elizabeth Olsen as Montgomery, while “Candy” stars Jessica Biel. (The more jarring contrast is between the former’s Jesse Plemons and the latter’s Pablo Schreiber, two physically opposite actors who both assume the role of Allan Gore, Betty’s husband and Candy’s ex-lover.) “Candy” is inflected with horror, while “Love & Death” is more naturalist. “Candy” flashes back from the day of the murder, which saw Montgomery toggle from brutal homicide to eerily banal errands, while “Love & Death” is more linear in structure. The effect is not unlike that of 2019’s competing documentaries about the viral quagmire known as Fyre Festival, with the same details refracted through distinct sensibilities. But instead of racing to cover a recent event, these shows converge on a tragedy more than four decades old.
