Caitriona has the opportunity to end her decade-long portrayal of time-traveling nurse Claire Fraser by winning one of the top awards in American TV.
She has been nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series at the 30th Critics Choice Awards, competing against some of Hollywood's biggest names, including Keira Knightley, Keri Russell, and Kathy Bates.
The final ballots went out to members of the Broadcast Television Journalists Association on Friday, January 3, and are to be returned by midnight on Friday, January 10, reports the Scottish Daily Express.
