Fans of the hit Starz drama Outlander have been left scratching their heads over a major storyline involving one of Claire Fraser's (played by Caitriona Balfe) main adversaries which seems to have vanished without a trace since season four. The arc in question involves Geillis Duncan (Lotte Verbeek), a fellow time-traveller with a mission to fulfil the Fraser prophecy, which foretells a Scottish king will eventually ascend the throne.Geillis targets Claire's daughter Brianna (Sophie Skelton), born 200 years after her conception due to her mother's time-travelling abilities, but fortunately fails in her endeavour.Despite Geillis meeting her end in season three, fans are puzzled as to why the prophecy has not been mentioned since. The prophecy reads: "When twice 1,200 moons have coursed, 'tween man's attack and woman's curse, and when the issue is cut down, then will a Scotsman wear a crown."However, this seemingly crucial plot point from Outlander's early seasons has not been referenced since Claire and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) relocated to North Carolina. One perplexed fan took to Reddit to voice their confusion, writing: "So the last episode of season 3 Geillis wanted to go back through the stones to kill Brianna because she's the 200-year-old baby or whatever."But I'm just starting episode 4 of season 4 and that has not been mentioned again."Does it come back or was it just like 'wow this here this is a plot line' and then it just died?"Another viewer, who has also read Diana Gabaldon's original books, clarified: "Claire killed Geillis in the cave."Brianna is now safe from Geillis.
