Outlander author Diana Gabaldon will make a much-welcomed return to Scotland this autumn as she heads to Inverness for a special fan event.
It's the third time she's been in the country this year, with the ever-busy writer already having spent time in Edinburgh this summer discussing her sell-out book series.
The 70-year-old will now head north to the capital of the Highlands to be interviewed by historical writer Sarah Fraser after she announced “an audience with” show at Eden Court this October.
English author Sarah, who now lives in the Highlands and has appeared in the TV series Men in Kilts with Sam Heughan and Graham MacTavish, told The National she is "in awe" of the Outlander creator.
