‘Outer Banks’ Eyes Potential Spinoffs As Netflix Series Heads Into Final Season
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Netflix‘s hit action-adventure YA series Outer Banks is set to end with its upcoming fifth season.
But that may not be the end of the Pogues. “We are excited for Season 5, and we’re excited for other stories in this universe down the line,” series’ co-creators/executive producers co-creators and executive producers Jonas Pate, Josh Pate and Shannon Burke said during an interview with Deadline tied for the release of Season 4 Part 2.
They would not elaborate but indicated that ideas for potential spinoff series and other universe offshoots are being explored.
According to sources, no projects are currently in the works but it is logical for Netflix to attempt to extend one of its top series — something it has already done with shows like Stranger Things and Bridgerton and is exploring for Virgin River.
