Nearly 30 years after the release of Four Weddings And A Funeral, Hugh Grant and his former co-star Andie MacDowell reunited at the Oscars 2023 when they presented the award for best production design.

Hugh, 62, and Andie, 65, famously worked together in Richard Curtis’s 1994 romantic comedy three decades ago as Charles and Carrie.

And as the stars reunited at the 95th Academy Awards ceremony, Hugh joked about his appearance before announcing the nominees. "We’re actually here to do two things,” Hugh said. “First is to raise awareness about the vital importance of using a good moisturiser. "Andie’s been wearing one every day for the last 29 years, I’ve never used one in my life." Hugh went on to compliment Andie: "Still stunning," before he distastefully said of himself: "Basically a scrotum." A speechless Andie then asked: "What are you doing?!" Many fans rushed to Twitter to share their thoughts over Hugh's remark, and it seemed they weren't best pleased.

One wrote: "OMG did Hugh Grant really just say he looked like a scrotum at the Oscars? Don't know whether to laugh or cry." One viewer also said: "Errr it's not really the time or place for jokes like that, Hugh Grant." Another shared: "Hugh Grant saying "scrotum" on live tv wasn't on my Oscars bingo card tbh." "Ok points to Hugh Grant for calling his face a scrotum. #Oscars," another shared.
