Oscars 2025 nominations in full as Wicked's Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande land nods
ok.co.ukThe much-anticipated Oscar nominations have finally been unveiled, following weeks of delays due to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.The announcement was previously postponed twice amid the wildfires, with the beginning of the nominations event paying tribute to emergency personnel, the film industry and those hit by the blazes.
Saturday Night Live and Wicked star Bowen Yang co-hosted the nominations alongside Bodies Bodies Bodies and Bottoms actress Rachel Sennott.The 96th Academy Awards ceremony, set to be hosted by US comedian Conan O'Brien, is scheduled for 2 March.
Jonathan Ross will return as host of ITV’s Oscars companion show for the second year running, accompanied by celebrity guests and film experts to discuss nominated films on the night.
Wicked star Cynthia Erivo landed a nomination for Best Actress, following her performance as green-skinned witch Elphaba in The Wizard Of Oz prequel, while Ariana Grande landed a Best Supporting Actress nod for her role as Galinda “Glinda” Upland.
