Oscar Isaac & Ana De Armas to Lead New Apple TV+ Series 'Bananas'

Oscar Isaac and Ana De Armas will be starring in a new TV series together! The 45-year-old actor and the 36-year-old actress are set to lead drama series Bananas, which has been scooped up by Apple TV+ following a competitive bid, Deadline reports. Keep reading to find out more… Academy Award-nominated filmmaker David O Russell is being attached as director and executive producer, with Carolina Paiz billed as creator, writer and executive producer.

In addition to starring, Oscar and Ana will also executive produce! Plot details for the series have not been revealed at this time, but sources tell Deadline that the title (subject to change) “refers to so-called banana republics, a term used to describe politically and economically unstable countries in areas such as Central America.” This will mark Ana‘s English-language series debut!
