Weather warning for Lanarkshire ahead of new year

Lanarkshire is set for heavy rain on Hogmanay that could bring disruption across the area.The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for torrential downpours between midnight on Monday, December 30, right up to The Bells on Hogmanay.The weather service says that the deluge could trigger power cuts, localised flooding, cancellations and delays on public transport and the road networks.Driving conditions will prove to be treacherous and some remote locations could become cut-off.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
