Oprah Gail Winfrey (born Orpah Gail Winfrey; January 29, 1954) is an American media executive, actress, talk show host, television producer, and philanthropist. She is best known for her talk show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, broadcast from Chicago, which was the highest-rated television program of its kind in history and ran in national syndication for 25 years from 1986 to 2011. Dubbed the "Queen of All Media", she was the richest African American of the 20th century and North America's first black multi-billionaire, and she has been ranked the greatest black philanthropist in American history. By 2007, she was sometimes ranked as the most influential woman in the world.

variety.comTodd Spangler NY Digital Editor Oprah Winfrey is off the board of WeightWatchers — but she’s continuing to work with the company as part of her efforts to change the cultural conversation about weight.
Winfrey will host “Making The Shift: A New Way to Think About Weight,” a three-hour event on Thursday, May 9, from 6-9 p.m. ET that will be live-streamed on WeightWatchers’ YouTube channel.
The event will include a live studio audience, while viewers who participate virtually will also have the opportunity to interact with Oprah and guests.
Speakers at the event are set to include Rebel Wilson, Amber Riley, Katie Sturino, Marisa Meltzer, Jamie Kern Lima, Tressie McMillan Cottom, and science and medical experts.
