The public have been left furious after a Greater Manchester Police tweet resurfaced last night telling of a homeowner being fined for holding a child's birthday party in their garden.

In August 2020, GMP reported that they had been called to a house in Swinton where three families were celebrating a child's birthday party.

The homeowner was fined for breaking the lockdown rules that were in place at the time. When it was first posted, the tweet received backlash from those who were against the restrictions in place.

But as further allegations emerged yesterday of Boris Johnson having a birthday party in Number 10 in June 2020, the tweet about the incident resurfaced and received further indignation.
