Manchester United won the race to sign Joshua Zirkzee in the summer after the likes of AC Milan and Arsenal all registered interest in the striker.
United kickstarted their summer business with the £36.5million purchase of Zirkzee from Bologna after he helped the Italian side reach the Champions League for the first time in their history.
However, the move to England hasn't gone according to plan in the first six months. After scoring on his United debut against Fulham on the opening day of the Premier League season, Zirkzee has failed to find the back of the net. Now, with Ruben Amorim in charge, Zirkzee has an opportunity to live up to the expectations around his signing. However, reports in Italy are now saying the 23-year-old has asked to leave the club in the January transfer window.
