Former One Direction star Louis Tomlinson took to his Instagram story on Friday night to show followers he was listening to bandmate Liam Payne’s latest single Teardrops, two days after his tragic death.

Wolverhampton born singer Liam tragically died on Wednesday night after falling from a three floor balcony in his hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at the age of 31.

Liam released his final song Teardrops in March this year, sharing on Instagram at the time: "This song is born from many tears, not all mine.

I hope you love it like I do and not too many of you can relate." On Thursday night, his former bandmates, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Zayn Malik released a joint statement following Liam's tragic death, which read: "We're completely devastated by the news of Liam's passing.
