The British Transport Police have confirmed the sad death of a man following a collision between two trains in Mid-Wales. Emergency services were dispatched rapidly to the site of a low-speed collision involving two trains on the line near Llanbrynmair, Powys in Wales just before 7:30pm.The incident involved the Transport for Wales 6.31pm service from Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth and the Transport for Wales 7.09pm service from Machynlleth to Shrewsbury, as stated by Network Rail and Transport for Wales.
They announced that the line would be closed and emphasised that "Our main priority is the safety of our passengers and colleagues, and we are doing all we can to support the emergency services as they respond to the incident.

Initially thought to have caused only minor injuries with fifteen passengers taken to hospital, it has now been confirmed that one individual has tragically lost their life in the crash, reports Wales Online.
